Getting ready for regular-season finale

Searcy’s Kade Ivy swings at a pitch against Lonoke earlier this season. The Lions play the final 5A-East doubleheader at first-place Jonesboro today. The first game starts at 4 p.m. Searcy is currently in fifth place with a conference mark of 6-6. Greene County Tech is fourth at 7-5 but holds the tiebreaker over the Lions as a result of a sweep last week. The top four teams in the conference qualify for next week’s Class 5A state tournament at Jonesboro.
