One injured in Thursday wreck

According to Lt. Todd Wells of the Searcy Police Department, 44-year-old Luis Guzman of Searcy was conscious but flown to a Little Rock hospital after rear-ending an 18-wheeler with his Chevrolet Equinox on South Main Street near Walmart Distribution Center No. 6018 on Thursday morning around 5:45. The driver of the 18-wheeler, Da Quandra Thomas, 22, of Memphis, Tenn., appeared uninjured, Wells said. Thomas was stopped southbound waiting to turn into the distribution center. Guzman was traveling directly behind and failed to maintain a safe distance, causing the collision, Wells said.
