Gary Lee Thacker, age 68, of Judsonia passed from this life on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, at his home in Judsonia. He was the founder and operator of Thackerland Flea Market and Judsonia Decorative Iron.

He is survived by the love of his life, Shirley Ann Yeager of Judsonia; two daughters, Misty Goss (Chris) of Searcy and Jennifer Hopkins of Judsonia; son, Darrell Doughty (Jeanne) of Bald Knob; four grandchildren, Ethan Hopkins of Judsonia, Cory Doughty of Bald Knob, Victoria Doughty of Bald Knob and Rory Gaskin of Bald Knob; one brother, Terry Thacker of Judsonia; three sisters, Patsy Cook of Searcy, Mickey Tompkins (Alan) of Searcy and Tammy Cook (Anthony) of Judsonia; his lifelong best friend, Gary Britton (Patsy) of Higginson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and many friends who were considered family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Bertha Thacker of Judsonia; two brothers, Melvin Thacker of Judsonia and Jerry Thacker of Barnard, Mo., and one brother-in-law, Farrell Cook of Searcy.

In lieu of flowers, Gary requested that you support your local flea market and that come November he will be voting absentee ballot.

A celebration of life service will be heldat Judsonia Community Center on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, at 2 p.m. and the family invites anyone that would like to share a memory and celebrate his life Arrangements entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Searcy.
