Burned church gets cleanup help

Coming together to clean up church

ABOVE: A cleanup was held at Christ Temple Holiness Church at 711 W. Pleasure Ave. on Saturday morning after a fire March 16 damaged the building built before 1910. Phyllis Nichols, the pastor’s wife, said workers from churches in West Memphis, Conway, Pine Bluff, Arkadelphia and Judsonia came to help with the cleanup. She added that students from Harding University were also a big help Saturday.

LEFT: Although the cleanup effort put the church ahead of schedule, according to Phyllis Nichols, Easter services will be held at 107 N. Spring St.
