Honoring longtime fair board member William J. Moore Sr.

The White County Fair board dedicates the Marvin Moore Sr. Pavilion at the White County Fairgrounds on Thursday night. The longtime fair board member died July 31 at the age of 84. Steve Merritt, vice president of the fair board, said Moore “loved this fair more than anything in the world. I miss him every day. He is the reason this carnival is here. It’s one of the top carnivals in the state.”
