White County nonprofit receives $1,000

First Electric Cooperative’s member-supported Operation Round-Up program recently awarded White County Single Parent Scholarship Fund Inc. with $1,000. The organization was one of 16 in the state to share $17,000.

Students graduate from Harding

More than 100 students received diplomas and were recognized as Harding University graduates for summer 2020 during a virtual ceremony held Aug. 15. These graduates were recognized alongside over 800 additional students who completed their degrees in May.

Searcy graduates included Savannah Morris, Bachelor of Science in family and consumer science with a teaching license; Micah Gregersen, Master of Arts in Teaching in secondary with a teaching license; Hunter Gowen, Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering; Evan Pratt, Master of Science in marriage family counsel/therapy; and Guy Nickleson, Master of Business Administration in management and business ethics. Other graduates included Mario Racancoj of Judsonia, Bachelor of Arts in computer science; and Lisa Moore of Bradford, Educational Specialist’s degree in educational leadership.
