Adding kennels in Kensett

Kensett Animal Control Officer Brandon Palmer works on adding eight kennels at the city’s animal shelter. He said the work started in November. There are 10 dogs at the shelter. Palmer said Kensett works with Last Hope K9 Rescue of Boston, which helped provide the donated kennels, with a volunteer in Little Rock helping find homes for the dogs. Palmer said work is now being done on the roof and supplies are on the way to wrap the areas for the winter to keep the dogs warm. “We will have 12 kennels when we are all through,” Palmer said. “We have three more left to do and should be done in the next couple of weeks, putting the icing on the cake.”
